We're still stuck in the middle of winter, but that doesn't mean you can't get started landscaping during the weekend. For any project, however, you're going to need the right tools for the task.

Take a look at our list below of five essential landscaping tools for any garden project, and be sure to get in touch if you have any garden DIY questions.

    Chainsaws

Get stuck into the thick of things with one of our chainsaws, as they're the best tools for tackling those tough old trees that can be a real pain to get rid of.

Our range of chainsaws is quite extensive: We've got two stroke 300mm, and 300mm and 450mm electric options. You can also hire pole pruning saws.

    Chippers

Once you've managed to cut down those old trees, you're going to need to get rid of the garden waste. The best tool for the job here is a wood chipper, which can turn waste into useful mulch. You can then distribute this over your garden, thus putting the waste to use.

We've got a few options here, too. Our 75mm chipper range is easy to transport, while our 225mm chipper is a commercial-grade machine that's sure to tackle whatever you can throw at it.

    Stump grinders

Anyone who's ever cut down a tree before will realise that the easy part is removing what's above the ground. The stump can be a real pain to remove, and this is where a stump grinder is highly effective.

We have traditional stump grinders to get rid of dangerous tree stumps and roots below ground, and log splitters to cut what's left into usable firewood.

    Weed control

If there's one thing that's a real pain in the garden, it's weeds. These are often unstoppable, especially in Australia where plant growth tends to take off.

Knapsack sprayers and flame throwers can quickly put a stop to weeds, and one of these items is bound to be faster than the other.

    Lawn mowers

For that final bit of landscaping, there's nothing better than a lawn mower. We've got a few options however, including broad area mowers for those really big properties and grass slashers to really power through those overgrown fields.

Our ride-on selection is also impressive. We've got 4WD options and zero turn mowers to make getting around complicated areas easy.
