Are you considering some garden landscaping at your home or business? Given our (mainly) beautiful weather, spending time outdoors relaxing and entertaining is engrained in Aussie culture.

In fact, according to a survey from the Nursery and Garden Industry Australia (NGIA), despite rapid urbanisation, more than 90 per cent of respondents grew up with a lawn in their backyard, while 86 per cent still had one. Over 85 per cent said the main reason they spend time in their backyard was because they felt it provided health, wellbeing and relaxation benefits.

"The landscape of the Australian backyard is constantly changing and evolving, however our love of gardens has remained untouched," said NGIA CEO Robert Prince.

Regardless of whether you're looking to increase the value of your property, your quality of living or simply would like a change, we've got the tools to assist your DIY garden and outdoor pursuits. Have a look below at some of the gear we have on offer:

    Chainsaws

If you've got any trees that are in need of pruning, lopping or even felling, Kennards has you covered with a range of chainsaws. For larger applications, you can use one of our professional two-stroke motorised chainsaws.

Depending on where you live, there may be noise restrictions. In this case, we have a range of electric saws that can do the trick with minimal noise.

Do you have branches that are too high for you to reach? To save you the sometimes dangerous climb up the tree, we have pole pruning saws - both motorised and electric - that are essentially saws on the end of telescopic poles, enabling you to stay on the ground while pruning!

If your property is framed by a hedge, we have a number of trimmers to allow you to accurately and, if you have that desire, artistically shape your hedge.

    Chippers

Our series of chippers are perfect for taking care of your efforts with the chainsaw, or even just for clearing organic materials that have accumulated over time. They will mulch branches and leaves into woodchips, which you can then use for your garden.

We also have stump grinders that are used to undercut unsightly tree stumps to below ground level, effectively enabling you to forget it was even there!

    Lawn mowers

Regardless of the size of your section or business, we will have the right mower for you. From the standard push mower with catcher, to the broad area mower that has three separate cutting units, capable of mowing around 4.3 hectares per hour.

Overgrown grass is no problem for our range of slashers, which can power through even the wildest of areas. They're popular among people looking to reduce fire hazards and tidy up large blocks of land.

If you're looking for that perfect finish, you should consider one of our line trimmers, lawn edgers or scrub cutters.

    Lawn care

While Australia's conditions do create great opportunities for outdoor entertaining, the lack of rain can be hard on your lawn which is why we have a selection of lawn care options.

Our corers are perfect for rejuvenating tired lawns, by removing dozens of soil plugs on each rotation to enable air into the root systems of lawns, while allowing for deep watering and fertilising.

Similarly, our dethatchers employ multiple plunging knives to remove the dense thatch that can form under lawns and inhibit their growth. This enables air, water and nutrients to access the grass roots, helping to ensure a healthy lawn!

If you have quite a small area, we offer manual spiked rollers which you push yourself to give the same effect.

    Dumpers

If your garden DIY involves removing or adding any soil, having one of our mini loaders on hand will make your life much easier.

We have a number of dumpers that are able to manage large payloads, regardless of the terrain. Their rubber tracks also mean they feature superb traction, while avoiding damage to your lawn or any paving.

Of course, we also have the classic wheelbarrows in full building-trade sizes with pneumatic tyres.

    Rotary hoes

A survey from the Australia Institute revealed that more than 50 per cent of households in our nation are growing some of their own produce.

If you want to jump on the bandwagon and plant a veggie garden, you will have to break up the hard clay and soil for the initial preparation - which is exactly what the rotary hoe is made for!

We can cover your needs regardless of the application, whether it be a small garden area or for professional landscaping requirements such as establishing a new lawn.

    Post hole borers

Post hole borers can be used for a many purposes, including fence posts, retaining wall posts, planting trees and shrubs or even for soil testing.

We have a number of options available in terms of type, including one-person and two-person-operated borers.
