Buying that new dining table is exciting - well, as exciting as buying a new dining table can be.

The last thing you'll want to be thinking about is how you'll get it home however, so a Kennards furniture trailer hire might be exactly what you need.

Tables usually come flat-packed, meaning you'll have to deal with screwing legs on at home and flipping the table (not an easy task if you don't have any helpers or if it's a solid hardwood), so having a trailer that can fit a fully made up table might just mean you can take it home from the store that way.

Not only does it make it easier - and cheaper than hiring a mover - you might actually be able to talk a discount into the deal for your new lounge suite, as some stores offer delivery as part of the package. Doing your own delivery might let them knock a few dollars off the price - so be sure to ask.

A hired furniture trailer isn't just good for things you pick up at the store, you can use them for all those purchases you make online, then wonder later on how you might be able to get it all home.

This of course makes it a great way to knock off a slew of those jobs you've been meaning to get done, or even do a favour for a friend who needs something shifted.

There are a couple of things to remember about safety however, as hiring a trailer means that you are responsible for your own safety and that of others on the roads.

Ensure the trailer is secured properly - if you are unsure, ask the experts at Kennards to double check the link.

Each hire does come with a Safe Towing Guide as well, so as much as you might not want to read the instructions, it will only take a minute or two to make sure you're not going to lose the trailer while you're driving, or have a load fly off the top if it's not secured properly.

If you need any further equipment for safety such as tarpaulins or ropes, Kennards will be happy to rent these to you as well.

Hire a trailer for a few hours or the whole weekend, whether you're moving just a few pieces or half a house-load, you'll find what you need at kennards.
