Suffice to say, garden DIY is an all-year-round job. From trimming roses to keeping plants hydrated through to clearing away debris, there is plenty to do in any given season. Now that we are well into autumn and even beginning to look ahead to winter, it could be a good time to start tidying up your outdoor areas so you can hibernate peacefully in the winter months without having to do too much upkeep on your garden until spring. So without any more delay, here's how Kennards Hire can help you on your way.

    De-leaf beyond belief

Unless your garden is completely filled with evergreen trees, you're likely to encounter a lot of loose leaves and debris throughout autumn as they shed their greenery for the winter. To prevent this from building up too badly, make sure to get the right leaf blower and tackle these loose leaves with rigour.

The throttle lock on the petrol lawn blower from Kennards Hire means that you can easily control the air flow, so you don't go overboard and litter your neighbours' yard, but can still quickly drive the leaves into a corner. From there, it's simply a matter of gathering everything together and disposing of it!

    Get the right transport equipment

If you aren't making mulch, you might be taking rubbish and general waste to your local tip or recycling plant. This is going to require the right kind of transport. Instead of 'soiling' your car, consider getting a trailer from Kennards Hire.

This will allow you to quickly and efficiently transport debris. Perhaps lay down a tarpaulin, to minimise the amount of cleaning you will have to do afterwards! Anyone with a larger lawn area might be considering a ride-on lawnmower to cut the grass down to size. The manoeuvrability on the zero-turn mower makes it ideal for fast fixing of your grassy areas.

    Stamp out the weeds

Getting rid of weeds in autumn means you don't have to worry about them again for quite some time. Employing a knapsack sprayer lets you knock out large areas in an afternoon, all while enjoying what's left of the sun.

Once you get these jobs done, you won't have to worry as much about the buildup of leaves, weeds or other debris throughout the winter months. Contact your local Kennards Hire for more tips and useful equipment when you are ready to knock your garden for six this autumn.
