A clean and well-prepared surface free of dust and contaminants is the key element to ensuring a long-lasting, professional finish.

Kennards Hire Concrete Care have an extensive range of specialist flooring equipment that will ensure the surface has the required preparation for maximum coating adhesion and longevity. This equipment includes concrete grinders, shotblasters, floor scrapers and concrete planers to remove built-up dirt, grime, surface scale and old paint or epoxy coatings in order to get your surface ready for its new finish.

A sandblaster attachment is a light and manoeuvrable hand tool used in conjunction with a pressure washer which simultaneously mixes water and limestone granules at high pressure. A new addition to the product range is the wet Sandblaster which is ideal for removing paint on masonry or steel surfaces, eliminating 95% of dust.

Kennards Hire Concrete Care grinders have an extensive range of quick change diamond consumables allowing hassle free removal after each grind. The correct selection of diamond is critical to ensure the correct surface profile, in achieved, whilst removing existing contaminants such as rubber marks, floor coatings and other surface impurities.

Mowers use the rotation of one or more diamond discs at high rpm to abrade the surface. Mowers generally leave a more aggressive finish than grinders and are ideal for removing existing coatings, rubber membrane (<3mm), grinding high spots, trip hazards, preparation for tile/screed beds and ardit overlay materials

Kennards Hire Concrete Care has a vast range of shotblasters, from handheld units capable of preparing 6-12 square metres per hour to the walk behind 415V 10'' heavy duty, self-propelled unit capable of completing up to 1000 square metres a day and the heavy duty ride on Diesel unit capable of completing up to 2600 square metres per day.

Shotblasters propel steel pellets at high velocity into the floor within its contained blast chamber. It is one of the most ideal ways to clean and prepare a concrete surface simultaneously for maximum coating adhesion.

Shotblasting surface profiles can vary significantly depending on the operator’s travel speeds and material’s hardness, with the ideal applications including, preparation for floor coatings/paints, cleaning of dirty concrete surfaces, non-slip finishes and overlays. All equipment from Kennards Hire Concrete Care is well serviced and easy to operate. The Kennards Hire Concrete Care staff will demonstrate how to use a machine and provide advice on what will best suit your needs. Each machine also has tailored safety buckets containing the required PPE for that machine.
