Trailer-mounted, 100kVA and 60kVA units are among temporary power solutions offered by Kennards Generators, a new specialist equipment branch which has opened in Perth.
The fleet includes a large quantity of new generators which arrived from Italy in July, consisting of 20kVA, 45kVA, 60kVA and 100kVA units.
While other suppliers deliver 100kVA and 60kVA units by tilt-tray truck, Kennards Generators has them available on trailers for pick-up or fast delivery at an economical rate.

A 1.2 tonne articulated ride-on roller from Kennards Hire was particularly good for work in corners when it was used on a construction project at the Heidelberg campus of the North Melbourne Institute of TAFE.
Liquid Rock Constructions used the machine to compact crushed rock before pouring a concrete slab for a new workshop, which was being constructed by principal contractor, Devco.

Kennards Hire has doubled the number of large portable air conditioners it has available to meet temporary needs in warehouses, factories and workshops.
The company, which operates Australia-wide, has purchased another ten 10kW units and a further five 20kW units, all of which have been specially modified, with larger fans, for Australian conditions.
Also available are 4.9kW air conditioners, which can plug into a standard power point and are ideal for offices and shops.

The Minicon Road Saw has power and reliability normally found only in bigger machines, but is still lightweight and very easy to handle.
Weighing just 42kg, it is powered by a 4-stroke, EX21 7hp Robin engine with two belts. It can cut through all types of concrete to a depth of 110mm.

The bins, which are available in two sizes, 1.4 cubic metres and 0.7 cubic metres, were among a vast range of equipment supplied by Kennards Hire for the exciting waterfront development. Feedback from the Newport Quays job site was so good Kennards Hire has now introduced them across its network of more than 90 hire centres.
The galvanised bins are ideal for multilevel construction sites because the can be placed in confined areas and are easy to push around. They are self-tipping or can be emptied into a large skip with a forklift or crane.

One day, Walter Kennard, who sold building equipment and other goods from a store in the NSW town of Bathurst, was asked for the loan of a concrete mixer for a quick job. Wally, as he was known, thought for a moment and replied, "Sorry, I can't loan it, but I will hire it to you".
