Hazardous dust on work sites can be overcome more easily and effectively by hiring a new, portable machine which blasts out fine droplets of water to create a blanket of mist.
The dust suppressing unit is available from Kennards Hire, although, initially, only in Victoria.
It is ideal for many industries, including construction, mining, demolition, landfill, composting, recycling, soil remediation, waste transfer and steel and slag.
The unit is a much better option for workers, passers-by and the local environment than the conventional approach to dust control of labourers manning hoses.
Designed to handle the toughest jobs, the unit can cover an area of up to 1950 square metres.
A powerful fan, driven by a 25hp motor, throws fine particles of water up to 60 metres, trapping airborne dust particles.
The fan oscillates from 0-40 degrees, and the angle of throw can be adjusted from 0-50 degrees.
