Hired dumper can carry 800kg
Two mature trees, each weighing 400-500kg and 4.5 metres tall out of the pot, were among items moved up a steep block by Asset Landscape Design with a tracked mini dumper from Kennards Hire.
Soil, sand, concrete, 2.4m long railway sleepers, crushed granite and bluestone stepping stones were also transported on the machine.
Craig McDonald, who operates Asset Landscape Design, said two timber ramps were erected at the side of the house for the dumper to reach the first level of the backyard, with three more ramps to higher levels.
The 800kg capacity machine can be hired from Kennards in Sydney, while 500kg capacity high-tip dumpers are available throughout the company’s network of more than 100 hire centres around Australia.
Kennards has recently opened a new outlet in Launceston, the first of an intended network of branches in Tasmania.
