Hilti wins inaugural Kennards Hire NZ Supplier of the Year Award

Leading designer and manufacturer of cutting-edge technology for the construction industry, Hilti (New Zealand) Ltd, has received Kennards Hire’s inaugural NZ Supplier of the Year 2018 award.

Held at the iconic Eden Park on Tuesday 10 April, the New Zealand Supplier Awards Night also marked the business’ 70th anniversary.

With over 170 branches across Australia and New Zealand, the Kennards Hire team are surveyed on how their suppliers’ best met the company’s four values. These results are averaged out to determine the Supplier of the Year, as well as the individual Value Award finalists and winners.

Along with taking home gold in both the ‘Fair Dinkum’ and ‘One Family’ categories at the hire company’s first Supplier Awards Night in New Zealand,  Hilti took home gold in the ‘One Family’ category at the Australian Awards held at Kennards Hire iconic Artarmon Branch on 5 April.  They also previously secured the Australian Gold Supplier Award in 2013 and 2015.

C B Norwood Distributors Ltd / Kubota also walked away with some great accolades having placed in three of the four categories that align with Kennards Hire’s core values: ‘Fair Dinkum’, ‘Every Customer A Raving Fan’ and ‘Taking Hire Higher’.

Angus Kennard, CEO of Kennards Hire, said, “We’ve been in New Zealand since 2012 and without the support and loyalty of our suppliers, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”

“It was great to open another couple of branches this week in Ashburton and Hornby. And it’s the confidence we have in our suppliers to continually provide us with quality equipment, service and training that helps us expand and not comprise the service or products we offer our customers.”
