West Coast Eagles and Kennards Hire have backed up last season’s partnership success with a sponsorship deal that sees the club’s Official Partner adorning the sleeve of the team’s polo shirt.
The agreement comes after a successful first year sponsorship between the iconic West Australian AFL club and Australia’s fastest growing family-owned equipment hire business.
Kennards Hire has expanded its network base in Western Australia this past year. Now with 22 branches ranging from Kununurra through to Mandurah, the company believes that AFL is a natural fit for their brand, and growing customer base, on the west coast.
Tony Symons, General Manager for Kennards Hire Western Australia and Northern Territory is thrilled to sign on as an Official Eagles partner for the next two years.
“Our people, customers and suppliers have been fully engaged in our sponsorship with the Eagles this season. Having played a significant role in the development of Optus Stadium and Lathlain Park, the extension of this season’s sponsorship deal is a natural progression of our partnership.”
“Our entire west coast branch network will be cheering on the Eagles in Saturday’s blockbuster game against Melbourne this weekend,” said Tony.
With the West Coast Eagles embarking on a preliminary final this weekend, Kennards Hire will feature on the polo of players and coaches.
West Coast Eagles Chief Executive Officer, Trevor Nisbett, said it was satisfying for the club and Kennards Hire to forge an even stronger relationship.
“We have been partners for the last 12 months and there are clearly some synergies with both organisations,” Mr Nisbett said. “We had a strong sense before our relationship was formalised that we were a good fit for each other and that has certainly been the case.
“Kennards Hire is an iconic Australian brand that is growing its presence in Western Australia. We believe our partnership can really assist them in building their raving fan base on the west coast.”
“Being on the sleeve of the playing polo’s, as well as those of the coaching staff, creates an even stronger connection.”
The partnership will also look to take advantage of the club’s move to the new Lathlain Park headquarters next season.
