Kennards Hire revamps Test & Measure hub branch with industry-first calibration laboratory

Leading family-owned and operated equipment hire company, Kennards Hire, has launched its first fully operational calibration laboratory to strengthen the offering of its Test & Measure business unit. Located at the new and improved East Brisbane facility, the hub branch has a team of three dedicated employees and is built on just 150sqm of space, sharing the site with the company’s general hire branch.

As the East Brisbane location was the first Kennards Hire Test & Measure to open in 2015, it was only fitting this be the first to feature a fully operational calibration laboratory which is temperature, pressure and dust controlled, and has state-of-the-art calibration instruments to service gear.

Providing innovative and leading-edge testing, safety and measurement solutions to some of the most complex applications and situations, Kennards Hire’s range of instrumentation and equipment specifically caters to the electrical, data and communications, plumbing, civil and utilities, HVAC, environmental and occupational hygiene, mining and oil and gas, and general industrial industries.

Kennards Hire’s Environmental Specialist, Chris Lynch, said: “It’s vital to have a facility that allows us to help our customers promptly whilst supplying a high quality product that produces reliable results.”

“The new lab is temperature and dust controlled to test and store various water quality analysis instruments. It features a serviceable ‘well’ pump testing rig to clean, leak test and pressure test the pumps. Not to mention, the lab also has a revolutionary intrinsically-safe fume hood to extract any hazardous gases when testing and calibrating gas analysis instruments such as PID's, landfill, confined space and methane gas analysers.”

Kennards Hire Brisbane Test & Measure is located at 39 Caswell Street, East Brisbane QLD 4169. The branch is open 7 days a week from 6.30am – 5.00pm on weekdays and 7.00am – 4.00pm on weekends.
