The team from Kennards Hire recently visited the Children’s Hospital at Westmead to donate $50,000 raised for Redkite in New South Wales during their annual Kennards for Kids campaign.
For almost 20 years, the Kennards Hire branch network has helped raise awareness and funds for charitable organisations that support sick and disadvantaged children, and their families, through the Kennards for Kids campaign.
“This year was our first opportunity to support Redkite and one that the Kennards Hire team are incredibly excited about and proud of,” said Darren Simmons, General Manager of Kennards Hire New South Wales.
“Having met the incredible Dr Luciano Dalla-Pozza, Head of The Cancer Centre for Children at The Children's Hospital at Westmead and the Redkite team that supports children and families through such a difficult time, I am privileged to be able to present our Kennards for Kids donation to Redkite.”
Monique Keighery, Redkite’s General Manager of Marketing and Fundraising, said, "The team at Redkite are thrilled to receive the generous donation of $50,000 from this year's Kennards for Kids fundraising campaign. These funds will make a significant difference to the lives of children with cancer and their families, and allow us to provide even more practical, must-have support in the form of information, counselling and financial assistance.”
“The generosity of Kennards Hire’s loyal customers is greatly appreciated and we are very proud to be partnered with such a dedicated and community-minded family business,” she said.
Darren went on to say, “It’s such a rewarding experience to be able to help make a difference in the lives of those families with young kids going through cancer treatment, and our team here have been so committed to raising funds for Redkite - they have gone above and beyond at every opportunity.”
With over $317,000 raised this year alone, the Kennards for Kids campaign is the company’s largest annual customer driven charity initiative.
