Forklifts are a staple of many industries, whether it's construction or warehouse distribution, the simple forklift can make just about any job a lot easier.

As technology advances, more options are becoming available, so it's important to be able to decide which one is the best choice for the task at hand.

Your traditional forklift comes in the form of a four-wheeled motorised vehicle that can carry loads of up to 2.5 tonnes. These offer solid tyres and a maximum extendable height of 4.22 metres.

Another option is the pedestrian forklift, which is smaller than your average four-wheeler so it can fit into tight areas. This option is easy to use and features a manual or hydraulic drive and lift.

For those especially tough outdoor jobs, a tracked forklift can be an ideal solution for situations where the ground is rough (such as construction sites) but the loads are heavy. It can deal with terrain that is wet, boggy, sandy, snowy or uneven and carry pallets that weigh up to 1.6 tonnes.

All of your forklift options are available from your specialised Kennards Lift and Shift hire centre, so talk to the experts there if you have any questions or queries.
