Clean-up on Platform One

Long after Friday night commuters were home, commercial cleaning company Cleantech1 were hard at work cleaning over a thousand square metres of tiled floors at two of Sydney’s largest and busiest train stations. To complete this massive task, Kennards Hire Concrete Care supplied a fleet of floor scrubbers.

“The floors of the stations received regular mopping but hadn’t been ‘deep cleaned’ for some time,” explained Alan Merheb, Director of Cleantech1.

“We had a limited timeframe of 48 hours to complete each station and have them ready for peak commuter traffic Monday morning. With the range of equipment supplied by Kennards Hire Concrete Care we were able to meet the deadline.”

Kennards Hire Concrete Care supplied Cleantech1 with four walk behind scrubbers, four hot water pressure washers and two ride-on scrubbers as well as a range of cleaning pads.

The walk behind scrubber features an onboard tank, which introduces a water, detergent or degreasing mix into the rotating brushes. Suitable for cleaning most hard surfaces such as tiled areas, factory floors, workshops, car parks, building sites and concrete drives, it also has a squeegee vacuum that sucks-up and discharges waste into a dirty water recovery tank.

Quiet, fume-free operation for cleaning in noise and environmentally sensitive areas is a main feature of the ride-on scrubber. Battery powered with Hydraulic power steering adds to its manoeuvrability and a one-button, easy-to-operate control panel simplifies operation.
