The Kennards for Kids campaign runs through March and April, raising money for selected charities with every hire made online or in-store. Every time someone makes a hire, be they DIY enthusiasts or tradies, $2 will be donated to a state-specific charity.

For Western Australia, that charity is the Constable Care Child Safety Foundation (CCCSF) - an organisation that has a close relationship with Kennards Hire and its annual charity campaign.

"It is a great initiative that has supported some of the Foundation's important programs, including our Comfort Pack program for kids in crisis and the WA Child Safety Awards," stated CCCSF spokesperson Diane Ainsworth.

"It is a great initiative that has supported some of the Foundation's important programs."

"It has also supported the delivery of safety education and crime prevention programs to primary and secondary school students in WA."

What will this year's donation help CCCSF achieve?

This year, Kennards Hire will again be helping to provide opportunities for improved safety awareness, education and programs for kids across Western Australia through the Kennards for Kids campaign.

"This year, the funds will be the most important to date, in our long and valued partnership with Kennards Hire," continued Ms Ainsworth.

"CCCSF will open the first road and transport Safety School in WA to address the urgent need for early education programs to reduce the state's leading cause of death for children and the second leading cause of hospitalisation for serious injury: road trauma."

The issue of child road trauma is serious in WA, and Kennards Hire is passionate about making sure children are educated as thoroughly as possible about the importance of road safety.

"The money donated through the Kennards for Kids campaign will support the opening of the Constable Care Safety School and its mission of reducing these unacceptable statistics through teaching safer road and public transport behaviours in an immersive learning environment."

"We've worked with Kennards Hire in Western Australia for over a decade and without their valued support, many of the programs we deliver here would not happen," said Ms Ainsworth.

This is something close to our hearts, and we're pushing to raise more money than ever before to help CCCSF achieve the goal of opening this Safety School as soon as possible.

"We are delighted to be partnering with CCCSF again, and are very pleased that we've been able to assist them over the past 10 years," commented Tony Symons, General Manager of Kennards Hire WA and NT.

"In particular, we are really excited to see the Constable Care Safety School come to fruition, after being on the drawing board for the past few years."

    How can you help?

A training school to help kids learn about road safety is a great way to change the behaviour of our most vulnerable people.

CCCSF is a worthy organisation to partner with Kennards for Kids. The Kennards Hire team wants to be the leader in safety education for children by preventing harm to our vulnerable young people and the communities they are a part of.

A training school to help kids learn about road safety is a great way to change the behaviour of our most vulnerable people, and to ensure that state-wide road trauma statistics never reach the same heights again. If this is something you're passionate about helping Kennards Hire to support, you can!

Get behind our Kennards for Kids initiative by hiring any piece of equipment from a branch or online in March and April. This is truly hiring for a higher purpose, and any help will benefit the children in the WA community no end.
