When dealing with the removal of building material or debris, sometimes you can find yourself stuck in a tight spot - literally!
Confined spaces like the rear of a building can present difficulties for moving material such as dirt, bricks or other material out, requiring a special lift and shift solution.
Conveyors can prove to be handy equipment in such situations, with The Veer Group director Alex Ugov using this equipment to help with a one-off job.
The Veer Group specialises in commercial interior fit-out and refurbishment, and in this job they needed to remove rubble from the rock face behind the Adelaide Street offices, which had started to create a water seepage problem.
"Access was a nightmare, and the conveyors were the only type of machinery we could get in there," Alex said.
"We set up them up to run along the back of the building, up a steep incline, through a window and storage area and into a basement car park, where rubbish skips were positioned."
Alex said he was "very impressed with the performance", with the assembling and disassembling process easy.
