Do you remember what your mum always told you? "Don't use your back like a crane". As always, mothers do know best, as handling heavy objects can cause serious injury.
According to figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, there are around 530,000 Aussies who experience work injuries every year. The really telling factor, though, is that the largest proportion (34 per cent) of the reported injuries were gained from 'lifting, pushing, pulling or bending'.
When it comes to lifting products, we've got the overhead crane and the forklift, but what about the smaller items? These injuries largely come when people hoist equipment into their cars or vans, for example, which is how Kennards' innovation of the One Lift began.
After around one and a half years of planning, designing and prototypes, the One Lift came to life and is now used extensively throughout the Kennards Hire network. Not only does it help our customers and team members in the yard reduce their safety risk, but it is also available for hire to be used on your worksite.
Take a look at our video that explains how it works and how it has reduced the need for manual work.
