Most people wouldn't know what to call a lever block if they saw one, but for tradies and construction workers these contraptions are one of the most useful tools onsite, and are well-known throughout the industry.
Kennards Hire has two sizes available for those jobs that require a winch system for lifting or pulling.
Lever hoists use a ratchet and pawl mechanical configuration to make light work of heavy jobs, requiring very little set up and can be used in confined spaces for heavy duty construction work or simple daily maintenance.
One lever block has a 1.5 tonne lifting capacity while the other can lift and shift up to three tonnes of weight.
Both lever blocks feature a three metre chain drop, and can be used in engine and machinery hoisting, vehicle recovery or uses like pulling out stubborn tree stumps. They only require one pair of hands for operation and can be used upside down for ground level operation.
Suggestions for safe practice include keeping a firm footing during use, ensuring the chain is not knotted or twisted before use and never running the load chain out beyond the range of lift.
