We've just passed the mid-year point (yes, we really are that much closer to Christmas again) and that clearly means that it might be time to clean out those gutters than have been overflowing recently!
If you're up on a second story or high point then you can pick up a man lift from Kennards to access the area.
While clearing out dry leaves from your gutters is a totally different job, you'll need to be mindful of the easiest way to sort out the mess to keep the time spent doing this job to a minimum when it comes to damp leaves and gunk.
For damp leaves, there are a couple of ways you can go about it.
The fastest method is to scoop out the clutter with a bucket or scooper and drop them onto a tarp on the ground below. This makes for a very quick job, although you'll have to aim more carefully the higher up you are.
Another method is to take a bucket up to the gutter with you, cut the metal handle and bend the prongs to hook over the edge of the gutter, allowing you to scoop the leaves straight into the container. The only issue with this one is that the bucket will fill up quickly.
