1 in 200 Australians are, or have been, homeless.
Which is why, Stepping Stone House is again holding its annual sleep out experiential event to help raise funds for, and awareness of, the real issue of youth homelessness.
On Friday 1 November, the annual Sleep Under the Stars event takes at Hickson Reserve beneath the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.
By getting together a group of friends or team of colleagues to sleep out, you’ll not only be helping to provide shelter, care and support for youth at risk, but you will wake up to one of the most beautiful views in Sydney (with a free breakfast thrown in!).
Throughout the night, you can have some fun building cardboard shelters in which to bunker down for the night, and hear firsthand from some of the inspirational people for whom homelessness was once, a reality.
So, get together a team and sign up to Sleep Under The Stars!
If you can’t make the event, why not sign up to Sleep Under The Stars remotely? Pick a night in October or November to sleep on your couch, your back yard or a mate’s place and join the Sleep Under The Stars community.
Kennards Hire, and the Kennards Hire Foundation, are long-term supporters of Stepping Stone House, the organisation behind this event.
