Tackling big earthmoving jobs with bigger excavators!

You can now hire larger excavators, with 5.5 tonne, eight tonne and 12 tonne machines available in some areas.

These excavators are suitable for use in large projects including drainage trenches and building footings, with Kennards also offering one tonne, 1.5 tonne and 3.5 tonne units for other trenching and excavation projects.

Civil, electrical and building contractor Wolpers Grahl used two 5.5 tonne excavators from Kennards Hire Winnellie to work on a power and water project which involved the laying of high voltage cable from Weddell Power Station over Elizabeth River Bridge to Archer Zone Substation.

"We have 11 of our own excavators, but, because we are getting busier and busier on the civil side of things, we regularly need more," said Wolpers Grahl construction manager Troy Glover in Kennards' Autumn 2013 Tool Talk.

"Since Kennards moved into the Northern Territory, the quality of the machinery and equipment we have been able to hire has been fantastic, and Kennards still offer the level of service you get from a home-grown business."

The larger eight tonne excavator with rock-breaker attachment was also hired long-term for work around a Western Australian mine for digging footings, trenching, rock removal and other tasks.
