You know the old saying: One man's trash in another man's treasure. When it comes to DIY renovations around the house, that statement is true tenfold. Whether it's an object you've found on the sidewalk, or it's leftover junk cluttering up your garage, with a clean and some minor alterations, you can easily use it for landscaping ideas or turn it into a new centrepiece for your lounge.
You'll be surprised at just how versatile so-called "trash" is!
You won't tyre of these ideas
Old tyres can be the perfect addition when doing a little bit of garden DIY. Perhaps your clan has just gotten bigger, and you're hoping to create a nice playground in the back yard when the little ones get past taking their first steps. It's not farfetched - you yourself might remember swinging or jumping through tyres on the school playground when you yourself were a young 'un. With some rope or a chain, you've got yourself a fun swing, or you can bury a line of them halfway underneath the soil, creating a nifty bouncy walkway.
Tyres are well-known for their durable nature, which makes them great for the outdoors. Give them a new paint job, and try using them as flower pots, too.
Wood you like to know more?
Once used for transporting all kinds of goods, you can instead use wooden pallets to move your breakfast or dinner around the house. Pallets make great breakfast trays or even tables that will add a touch of individuality to your home.
Again, just a new paint job, and perhaps the installation of wheels and the addition of some cushions, and you've got yourself a trendy-looking piece of furniture that you paid less than a fraction of the price for.
