It’s been a tough year, so who doesn’t need an overdose of Christmas cheer?

You could go for some major visual impact this season with an outdoor Christmas Tree. You’ll be amazed how easy it is to use a cherry picker to decorate it and your friends and relatives will wonder how you made it happen.

So rather than using the old ladder from the shed, to get up and down the tree, lift yourself safely and easily to work your way around it. A cherry picker will provide stable footing and can hold all your tools, lights, tinsel and baubles as you manoeuvre around the tree and

Did you know that the 76-foot-tall tree in New York City's Rockefeller Centre was assembled and decorated with the help of a telescopic boom lift? Maybe your project is not quite as large, but you can hire up to a 66ft diesel straight boom lift if you are after something for commercial use. With rough terrain tyres, its perfect for accessing a wide variety of surfaces, and a jib boom with a basket that rotates makes it extremely versatile.

For smaller trees, consider the compact boom such as a knuckle boom 30ft electric. It's also great for indoor jobs that require narrow access and non-marking tyres.

In this instance we used the Nifty 12m mobile hydraulic platform, and the largest decorations we could find, such as lush tinsel, giant baubles, bows, snowflakes, string lights and Christmas stockings. At the base we placed three pairs of kangaroo solar lights and all string lights were charged and turned onto flashing mode before they were hung. A big tip is to use items which sparkle in the sunlight to maximise your daytime effects and don’t forget to find a large but very lightweight feature for the top of the tree.

Next time we’ll also include a few disco balls!

Happy Christmas and give us a call if you think this might be a project you’d like to tackle.
