Autumn is the right time to beautify your lawn

There's never a better time than the 'in between' seasons to get tending to your lawns and garden DIY projects as you won't have to brace the intense summer heat or whipping winds of winter.

Kennards has provided a quick guide offering tips and advice on how you can beautify your lawn so that it will be looking its best all year round.

You will need materials such as fertiliser, weed killer, lawn seed, top dressing (blended) and turf to get started.

With the right tools you can rejuvenate your lawn and get it looking green and full of life again.

Head to your local hire centre to pick up garden landscaping tools such as weed sprayers, wheelbarrows, rotary hoes, dethatchers, lawn rollers, turf cutters and more!

It is recommended for most lawns to be fertilised in November and April, with a half feed in December and February.

Kennards lawn guide says to distribute powder fertilisers with a fertiliser spreader and liquid fertilisers with a sprayer, with most lawns requiring a PH level of 6 to 6.5, so correct if required with lime (acid soils) or sulphate of ammonia (alkaline soils).
