When was the last time you washed your windows? It can be easy to forget to add this to your cleaning routine, and after a long wet winter, they're likely to be a bit filthy.

If the windows of your home aren't spotless, then why not schedule this job into your spring cleaning schedule?

Whether your house is one or two stories?, you will need to use access equipment to help you reach outside windows. Hiring a cherry picker or scissor lift from your local Kennards Hire will assist you with the job.

Once you have all your tools and equipment at hand, get a bucket of soapy, hot water and wash all the dirt and grime off the windows - once you have done this, hose all the glass to remove any residue.

To get a streak free finish, use a special solution and a microfibre cloth over each window.

If you haven't got a store-bought glass cleaner you can be resourceful and make your own!

Methylated spirits mixed with water in a spray bottle is an effective cleaner that will leave you with professional spot-free results.

If you don't have this on hand, you can make your own with one cup of white wine vinegar, warm water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid!
