Polished concrete floors are becoming the flooring of choice for many businesses, warehouses and homes for many reasons. They are easy to clean, strong, long lasting and don't demand the need of other floor coverings - making them cheap and simple.

    Shops

Polished concrete floors are greatly resistant to foot traffic, and make a much better alternative to carpet or wooden flooring. They also reflect light easily, so make show rooms and shops appear lighter, brighter, and more inviting to potential customers.

    Warehouses

Concrete floors are easy to clean, meaning that you can keep your warehouse free from permanent, unattractive stains and markings that come from the constant dragging, rolling and shifting of heavy items as well as forklifts and heavy machinery making their way back and forth across the floor.

    Homes

These floors look amazing in kitchen and dining areas, as well as around the deck and outdoor living areas - creating a great flow between the inside and outside of your home. The ease of cleaning is again an excellent factor, as it prevents permanent staining and unsightly marks which can have a hugely negative impact on the aesthetic of your home.

If you would like to involve polished concrete floors in your workspace or home area, it can be achieved simply and effectively by using a concrete grinder. Concrete must be in raw condition, without any marks, scratches or scrapes - if it does have any of these, then you will need to ensure adequate surface preparation to get the floor back to is original state and ready for polishing.

Make sure you hire a grinder that reflects the size of the area you are wanting to polish. If you have a large area, you will need a larger grinder, and the same with a small area and a smaller grinder.
