Kennards Hire is proud to celebrate Tom Kimber’s incredible career and recent induction into the HIANZ Life Member club. With nearly three decades in the New Zealand hire industry, Tom has been a driving force behind the growth and success of our operations in New Zealand.

 

A Journey of Dedication and Leadership

Tom’s journey began in 1995 at McEntee Hire’s Albany branch. Starting out young and with limited knowledge of the equipment at the time, Tom's commitment and work ethic saw him rise swiftly through the ranks, from part-time roles to National Operations Manager.

 

Pivotal Role in Kennards Hire’s Transition

When Kennards Hire acquired McEntee Hire in 2012, Tom’s leadership was instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition. He played a key role in consolidating branches and integrating staff, maintaining continuity and stability for both employees and customers.

 

Commitment to Industry Standards and Safety

Tom’s involvement with HIANZ began early, attending AGMs and zone meetings during his McEntee days. Inspired by the Hire and Rental Conference in Australia, he joined the HIANZ board in 2011. Serving for nine continuous years, Tom’s dedication to enhancing member value and promoting safety significantly elevated industry standards.

 

A Lasting Legacy

Tom's ongoing commitment is evident today, with Kennards Hire supporting the association team on various subjects. His influence on the industry is profound and lasting.
