We’ve been dedicated to empowering communities for over 75 years. A cornerstone of that dedication is creating space for our teams to make decisions that support the community groups and causes they’re most passionate about. Whether it’s providing equipment for a local school event, sponsoring a netball club where our kids play, or supporting the surf lifesaving club that safeguards us every summer, our team is devoted to backing community organisations across every corner of Australia and New Zealand.

Understanding that more can always be done, the Kennard Family established the Kennard Hire Foundation in 2018. The Foundation is committed to helping create a better future for young Australians and New Zealanders by partnering with non-profit partners. We never hesitate to roll up our sleeves, to share our time, experience, and expertise with the Foundation’s partners to create a real and lasting impact on the lives of young people.

How We Give Back

Lift Up Communities is built on three simple pillars, each one shaped by what our people have been doing naturally for years. 

Backing Our Neighbours

We're all about pitching in for local causes and giving back to the communities where we live and work. In 2024, we provided over $500,000 worth of free or discounted equipment to local organisations across Australia and New Zealand. 

Our Crew Have Heart

Whether it's volunteering, mentoring, or teaming up with great partners to create real impact, our people are out there making a difference every day. We’re not just lending a hand, we’re lending our time, skills, and friendship. From footy clubs to fundraisers, our support is hands-on and heart-felt.

Profits with Purpose

Each year, we donate 1% of our operating profits to the Kennards Hire Foundation. Our focus? Partnering with non-profit partners to help young Aussies and Kiwis doing it tough, giving them a fair go for a brighter future.
